Looking at high mileage bmw 335i’s and 340i’s as a new daily.

Yeah, I know most of you will read this and think Im an idiot and it’s absurd. I dont make over 100k a year (more like 70ish+)

But heres the kicker. I daily drive a fully built 93 turbo mr2 on ethanol and do 90% of the work on it myself. I also live 6 miles away from my job and work remotely often.

I assume working on a stock modern BMW, despite how much more complex it is than an MR2, will still be easier than working on a dully built car where changing the alternator is a 3 hour job because you have to either take out the rear subframe or pull it across the engine bay from under the car.

Ive been watching videos of people working on BMWs and honestly they look like a pleasure to work on compared to what working on my mr2 looks like.

Basically I want a modern car to have more time to work on the mr2 and my 99 4runner Im restoring (although really slowly) myself.

My more responsive side tells me to get a ford fiesta st for sub 7k cash. Or just a lexus/camry or something.

But although I love JDM cars and have never been really into bmws. Owning and working on a stock b58 or n55s sounds fun.

Or am I just crazy and should I get one if the above?
