Hard PC freeze

I took a year-ish long break and decided to come back to play the masquerade event (not having fun with it but that's not for this post) and I had maybe the worst crash in the game so far, the game decided to crash as I exited steam overly to see what the next adept achievement I wanted to do and stayed frozen with audio playing for 10 mins. I walked away cause frustrated and came back to the program trying to close but not being able to, assuming that's what it was doing since it was flickering between a black screen and my screen being "off". I haven't seen a game let alone DBD do this before and nowhere I looked at had anything like this my specs if important: 12GB GeForce GTX 3060 AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core 3.70GHz 32 GB RAM
