Comments or opinions wanted...Is this legit/normal?......a local small business that writes prescriptions....

I hope this is an appropriate place for this.

I was shopping around for local therapists and ran across this local business. I left a message and got a call back. It was the actual owner and we talked for 20ish minutes.

He apparently is the only professional there (or maybe even the only person), and he writes prescriptions for psyche meds after a consultation. He isn't a therapist, and there are no therapists there.

From the website:

"We offer medication management for various mental health conditions from the convenience of your own home or in office. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care to all of our patients."

He charges for this service, and accepts many types of insurance. He told me to take pics of both sides of my Medicare card and email the pics to him to see if I qualified.

This seems odd. Are there legit places like this? I asked if he prescribed benzos, he said yes but mostly sparingly.
