What to do when a hyperfocus “ends”?

🎙️Infodump

Lately I’ve been hyper focusing on the game Baldur’s Gate 3, spent the entirety of June playing it non stop, and even though it did make me kinda of “negligent” towards other things, it did help me a lot because I had something to thrill about and focus on. The problem is that I finished the game yesterday and now I don’t know what to do. Like sure, I could just play it again, but it won’t feel the same right away.

During the time I spent fixated on the game it felt like my brain was finally quiet (I don’t hear voices to be clear, but there’s always so many thoughts going on) and focused on one single thing, I was even able to control my shopping compulsion/addiction (that one is mostly caused by the ADHD part of my brain) but now it’s been a day since I stopped playing and it’s like my mind has started to get chaotic again.

What do you usually do to fill in the gap after one hyperfocus ends and before you find something else??
