73' d100 as a daily driver?

I have been looking into getting a classic truck, such as the Chevy square body, fords f100 line, and the dodge d100. I found a d100 from 73 that is in really great shape. No visable body rust and runs. If i was to get this truck it would be my daily driver. It would mostly be city driving to and from work, with some mountain trips every month that is 4 hours round trip. Is this truck a good idea or should I stick to my boring car from the 2000's?
