Cocktail book for refined pre-batched cocktails in the style of Bird (CPH), Shapes (London), etc?
Hey guys!
I've found myself gravitating towards lowish ABV sippable clarified cocktails lately — the kind that are usually pre-batched, sometimes carbonated, served with a single clear cube. Often modern takes on milk punch.
A Bar With Shapes For A Name (London), Bird (Copenhagen), Night on Earth (LA), True Laurel (SF) stand out as bars doing these well. I recognize most of these use vacuum distillation for this set of their menu, but I assume they aren't strictly necessary across the entire style.
Unfortunately I can't seem to find a cocktail book that embraces this style. Even the cocktail book from Mr. Lyan doesn't really delve into this style despite the Lyaness menu. What's your favorite resource to get to know this style?
