HELP what kind of nursing should I go into???
I’m 17 and I live in New Hampshire, and I currently work as a dietary aide for a retirement home (started working there in culinary because I was promised a job as an LNA, and they did not follow through). I'm low income and I may be able to get into Saint Anselm for free because of their NH program. They have a great nursing program so honestly I feel pretty good about that. But I have sooooo many questions. Should I do an accelerated course at a community college instead? Do I try to get my masters to be a CRNA? (maybe not with the BBB passing R.I.P. grad school) Do I be a PA? Should I do something else that I haven't thought of yet? I know I'm young and I still have time, but I want to be prepared so I can be as well off as possible. I also wanna make more than a comfortable amount of money, but I'm more than fine with any salary you get as a nurse.
- I work with old people and I don't mind them but don't exactly know if I'd wanna do it for the rest of my life.
- open to L&D, NICU, PACU, Midwife, PA, NP, suggestions welcome.
- I kind of thrive in a school setting so I wouldn't mind going to school for a bit longer, but no more than 3 or 4 years of it. Preferably 6 years in total if that's something I could do.
