should I get a stage 2 tune for my mk4 vr6?

I’ve been thinking about getting a 450$ stage 2 unitronics tune for my 2002 gti 24v vr6. I’m not to sure if that’s necessarily a good idea because the car is kinda clapped out and im not sure if the cost to hp gained is really worth it since i paid 1k for the car anyways. I just wanna have fun with it so 🤷‍♂️ if theres any other mods that gain more hp for cheap lmk. thanks!
