Singapore GP 2025 - Skip race day or go all in?
Last minute planning a Singapore GP trip. I managed to find one cheap hostel room ($35/night) and quickly booked it! Most GP tickets are sold out but I have a couple options. I'm trying to do it semi-cheaply, though I realize I'm a bit late.
Here's what I see available:
Option 1 (itemized, $396):
- Fri - Premier Walkabout $147
- Sat - Premier Walkabout $249
- Sun - skip entirely
Option 2 (combo sale, $866):
- Fri - Pit Grandstand
- Sat - Pit Grandstand
- Sun - Premier Walkabout
A couple questions:
- I can't choose a seat for Pit Grandstand with the Option 2 reseller. I assume it won't be that good. Is it worth sitting on the straight for FP/Q? Could I still get a glimpse of the final high-speed turns?
- If I skip the actual GP on Sunday, are there some watch parties around the city? Any good spots in particular? It seems F1TV isn't available, so I can't just throw it on in a hostel or something. :(
Option 2 honestly seems like a great deal, though not what I was planning to spend. I was really just passing through SG in my travels and noticed the GP timing lined right up! So I think if general atmosphere or other ways to watch around the city are worthwhile, I think I'd be okay not attending the race. I've been to Montreal and COTA before so it's not entirely new, but I doubt I'll return. So I could be convinced!
