How to address service staff properly in the PH?

Just wondering, how do workers in the service industry prefer to be called?

For some time, I have been using “ate” or “kuya” by default, but I’m wondering if there’s a better way.

For example, servers in restaurants, is it better to call them by their first name only ?

How do you address guards, sales staff?

Is “miss” offensive?
