Headcanons you had that didn’t or no longer make sense?

Personally I long head canoned the idea that the Yulpas are far away from from human space before I realized that "The Sacrifice" sidestory a Yulpa captured a human just outside of a human space, tranquilizer him and then got him back to the Yulpa homeworld before he woke up which means the Yulpas are actually pretty darn close.
