Price match, and returning an item that's on a different shop card

If you bought an item recently but then the item goes on sale, how recent does the reg price item has to be?

If you return an item that was charged to a different shop card which no longer exists (ie $0 balance), does the return amount of the item goes back on your current shop card? Or do they give you a new shop card at the till with the return amount?
