Straight guy at work keeps touching me and making sexual jokes... is this normal?
A few months ago, my friends and I started working, and on the day I met my team, one of the guys caught my attention — I thought he was attractive. My friends said he gave off gay vibes, and I felt that too. We started talking and got along really well. Over time, I realized he wasn't what I expected. He looked like a quiet guy, but he turned out to be kinda cholo and agressively straight haha.
Eventually, I let go of the idea that he might be gay and just figured we’d be good work buddies. We always eat together and are pretty much hanging out all the time at work. One day, out of nowhere, he grabbed me by the waist, pulled me close, and asked me if I loved him or not. I jokingly said no, and that was it. But as the days went by, he kept doing things like that, and now he even strokes my ear.
At first, I thought it was just one of those straight guys who “play gay” for fun. But then I found out through another coworker that he likes a girl at work and does some similar things with her. Still, he doesn’t act like that with other guys — only with me, and only when we’re alone.
I always assumed he knew I was gay because, well, it’s kinda obvious — but one time when we were talking with more people and the topic of me being gay came up, he acted all surprised and said he never would’ve guessed. I thought that would make him stop with the touching and jokes, but nope — it got more intense. Now he keeps making jokes like “what if we kissed?” or “let’s play sword fights.” I don’t really play along, but it definitely throws me off.
I don’t know if he’s flirting, mocking me, or just messing with the gay guy at work. The last straw was recently, when we were talking and he was stroking my ear (as usual), but this time he tried to stick his finger in it. I pulled away, and he said, “Don’t you like being penetrated?” I said no, and he replied, “Sorry, I’m just super horny today,” then quickly added that he was just kidding and walked off.
It was really weird. Honestly, it doesn’t bother me that much, but it would make me feel bad if he’s just doing it to make fun of me. I haven’t had many male friendships, so I’m not sure if this is normal or if he’s trying to provoke me somehow. That’s why I’d like to hear what others think..
