Can’t build an izzet deck - any izzet lovers out there?

I challenged myself to build a deck for each guild and the color I’m having most trouble with is Izzet. Just feels like a difficult color to enjoy in a mid power B3 environment. I hate taking long turns and dislike glass cannon strategies.

Would love to find a less popular commander that does something the table wouldn’t expect. To give some examples: for boros I have landfall, for dimir I have equipments, for azorius and golgari I have Voltron.

I’m open to all ideas, though I’m honestly looking for a gem that’s hidden under a rock. Dalakos and lilah are both cool, but both directions are a little obvious. I love building decks that don’t otherwise exist, something you can’t find on edhrec and maybe only a few people have a similar build.
