PMS vs. Real Estate – What’s the Better Option?

I currently live in the U.S., and due to PFIC (Passive Foreign Investment Company) regulations, I’m unable to invest in Indian mutual funds. However, I do not want to miss participating in India’s growth story.

I’ve been exploring both PMS and real estate for a long term investments (>10yrs). The more I research, the more I feel that neither option seems compelling/not worth it.

What would you recommend in such a situation?
