Plugin hybrids?

I am confused about plugin hybrids or not, personally I don’t want to keep going to charging stations all the time since phev have low mileage, on the other hand some features I want in the car are o it available on the phev.

Other than spending more on gas, would it break faster or something bad happened to a phev if I only put gas and never charge its battery?
