Help... My cats meowing everynight and driving me crazy!
So sorry in advance I am horrible with words and I'm a bit sleep deprived, I hope all of this made since.
I(m19) haven't done this much, but I genuinely need advice. I feel like I'm failing my cat(ftuxedo9), but I don't know what's going on. I've had my baby since she was a kitten with only a brief few months without her. She hasn't been my official cat until about 5 years ago but even before then she had always stayed close to me. I love her to death and see her almost like my toddler. I've taken care of her, play with her, take her to the vet, and cuddle with her almost every night. I also leash trained her, which I believe might be the steam of the problem.
I (19m) recently moved out on my own this January for the first time, chaotic doesn't describe it enough. Its a bit small, but affordable for my first place on my own, and i have plently of toys and cat trees around. We've had to go back and forth while we move and I've had to stay at other people's houses while I took care of things for them. I knew she didn't like car rides so I think the constant moving might have a bit to do with it. In the last 7 months we've stayed at other people's places a total of 3 times, no longer than a week. We're stable now and I don't plan on moving her around anymore but the problem is my cat is keeping me up at night.
My cat won't stop meowing from 12-1, and I know that's not a very long time but it's driving me crazy. She was like this even before we moved but it was more manageable with othe people. No matter how much a play with her, if I ignore it, try to distract her, take her out, heck I'll admit I've cried a few times at this point, nothing stop her. She'll just do the same thing the next day. I've scrabble for any bit of advice and scrolled for anything that could help. But I'm broke, and I don't know what to do at this point. I play with her for almost 40 minutes total every day, 4 times a day 10 minute intervals, I cuddle with her whenever she comes to me, and give her her space when she wants her time. I give her all the food she needs, and take her out for walks every other day. I'm thinking of stopping the walks cause I stopped taking her out for a while and noticed the meowing did get a bit better.
All around she's my baby, and she seems happy any other time, she's healthy, she's always purring, always cuddling with me, and I love hearing her meow any other time for the most part. But I work two jobs and I can't handle the stress I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is there anything I can do to fix this, what am i doing wrong? I love her to death but I just can't be kept up at night like this.
