Good place to visit on a road trip?

I’m visiting Vancouver from Oregon and I’m thinking about stopping in Abbotsford, as it’s on the way. Is Abbotsford a good place to visit? I’m worried about being seen as a supporter of…certain political developments in the U.S. and don’t want to get lumped in with people who support that kind of thing. I’m just wondering if anybody has an opinion on the prospect of visiting…maybe things to do if I do stop by.
