Think about it
I know I will catch flak for this but I urge you to think about it for a second. After every protest, it's Nyakundi who declares what the government narrative is and what the govt bloggers have allegedly been told to say by the govt. For example after the recent protests he is mainly the guy who pushed the narrative that the govt narrative is that these protests are a murima affair, but let's dissect this notion for a bit.
It is undeniable that the protests were most destructive in murima and it's diaspora spots across the country, the opposition leader is a guy from murima. After seeing this someone looking in does not need to be paid to say that these protests are a murima affair, I'm not saying that they are but I can see why someone would see that.
I am a murima guy myself and I keep a keen ear on the ground, now after Monday's protests and the death and destruction they caused, people here started questioning the validity and purpose of these maandamanos including very influential public figures. They are now seeing that these so called maandamanos are being used to bring destruction and death and it's hard to disagree after all if there were no maandamano even the goons would find a very hard time getting opportunistic looters who they rely on to finish their dirty jobs.
Now, Nyakundi and Co have figured out how to manipulate gen Zs and it's largely because we think we know it all (hence the 'we are not our parents' slogan) , on X you just need to tell them that this is the government narrative and this is how to counter it (maybe the counter is the actual government narrative and it's a case of reverse psychology). Which leads me to yesterday and the new trending hashtag, which is more than likely a pre-cursor to a new protest, i.e 'We need a new protest to show that indeed this is not just a murima affair'. The day of the protest arrives and all other regions are quiet except murima and in areas with the murima diaspora. Don't get me wrong ,these protests aren't genuine at all but you need a social media buzz to provide cover for them, the tweets and tiktoks just muddy the waters.
We have seen quite clearly that the KK regime has a very low tolerance for dissent ,Rose Njeri , Albert Ojwang' , the Kitengela 4, Dr Austin, Gabriel Oguda , even Raila Odinga (when he was in opposition), Wanjiku Thiga ,Ndiang'ui (allegedly) and even Jimmy Wanjigi are just a few of the people who have been severely persecuted for their dissenting voices against KK. How comes Nyakundi , Gaitho and these bloggers inciting such destructive protests are going away scot free? It is a valid question to ask and you can make your own conclusions.
Lastly it is always deplatform these celebrities, content creators , business people, bloggers ,businesses ,politicians who have a contrary opinion (which is their right btw) but when do we start cancelling and deplatforming the bloggers who incite protests but never show up? Say what you will about Raila (which you should btw, dude is a con) but at least when he called for maandamano ,he owned them and showed up.
