Did I miss the window to buy a new bike this year?

For the past few years I’ve been riding on a 15-year old bike (it was free). Now I’m ready to treat myself to a new bike but not a single bike shop in my city has any bikes in stock. Then I checked online and everything is out of stock there as well.

Should I scramble to find something now or do shops typically get one last stock refresh before the end of the season? I’m cool with waiting but ideally I wouldn’t wait until next spring lol. I’ve never been in the market to buy a new bike from the shop so I’m not sure if I’m missing something.

I originally was looking for a Trek Roscoe 7/8 but I’m open to any similar tiered HT’s as well.
