Any ideas what this is and how I can treat whilst waiting for vet appointment?
Hi, please note he is booked in for the vets Friday but I can’t unfortunately move the appt closer so seeking some advice or opinion on what this could be and if there’s anything I can do whilst waiting for vet appt. His chin has been super red for about two days and seemed to have some puss last night but looks more red and scabby today. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain or discomfort and is eating, drinking and playing as normal. The only thing we’ve changed recently is I tried a different brand of kitten and cat milk, and the new one includes glucosamine which wasn’t in his other brand of milk. Otherwise he eats out of clean stainless steal or ceramic bowls but however does use a plastic water fountain which I have now changed. Any ideas would be appreciated! I’m intrigued to see what the vet says but a little concerned it may be a bad infection or will get worse before our appt. Thankyou!
