AITA for telling people I don’t want to be in a relationship again and telling them to back off.
So I 32F just got divorced after waiting for a judge to sign off on it for over 8 months. My Ex 33M and I wanted it over finally. The divorce was because he couldn't handle my mental health illness and felt like he couldn't support me in what I needed to get better. We was told that with my PTSD, Depressive Bipolar Disorder, Major depressive disorder, and PPD I could get medically declared disabled, but it would only work if we was divorced. So we divorced. We no longer live together anymore but we still are close. We both love to game and are large nerds. He has been helping me and my care team is still fighting to get me disability benefits. What I didn't mention before is that because of what caused my PTSD I have been in pain most of my life but I was blown off by doctors. So now my pain tolerance is off the rockers high and when I tell someone I am in pain they don't believe me because I don't look it or I am to young to have pain like that. So between the mental health issues and and my body failing I have been told I should get it. It has been over a year now and even with filling out that they keep sending to my care team, the doctor appointments, and mental health evaluations, and therapy sessions I don't have much time for dating or anything. Since the divorce started people keep asking or telling me I need to start dating again because it will A make my ex jealous and B make me happy. But I don't want to date or even go on 1 night stand. I don't want to re-teach someone what I want in a relationship or in bed. I don't care to learn anything about a new relationship. I don't want to get into another relationship where everything gets comfortable and stalls. I use to tell them this but it has been over a year and I am tired of answering their questions. I just tell them no and to stop. Now I am telling them to back the hell off. So tired of it. So am the AH.
