Leaving kids sleeping alone in stateroom?

Question

The title is to grab attention don't worry (I hope)

So I (26f), my husband (29m), and our 2 kids (6f and 2m at the time of sailing) are going on a family reunion on an Alaskan cruise on Princess at the end of next July, and I had a question about going out in the evening with my husband to just relax.

I have quite a few family members who will be joining us on the cruise, aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids, but specifically my parents are the ones who volunteered to watch our kids in the evening when they go to bed while my husband and I go out to a lounge or something. I know from experience that kids sometimes get staterooms to themselves on cruises, but my experience with it is from when I was 11, and I was the youngest one in the room, so I wanted to ask.....

My daughter has a phone because she has t1d and uses it as her receiver for her cgm and omnipod, and my thought process was maybe my mom could keep it on a phone call or something so she has a direct line into the room in case my kids need something, my daughter still wakes up at night to use the restroom, but we'll probably be back in our room before then when it happens bc it usually happens at like 1am. They'll be right next door to our stateroom and I planned on leaving my mom with one of our kid's keycard medallions so she can get in if she needs to. Would this be a good option for going out in the evening with my husband?
