Purple boba ball size and consistency boil on inner thigh. Could it be staph?

Hey Derms, Yesterday I managed to get rid of -by accident- a pretty sizable spot/zit on my inner left thigh. It was dark purple and didn't hurt much. Wish I had pictures but I wasn't expecting it.

I was on the phone to my fiance and was absentmindedly kneeding it in my fingers and. It. Just. Exploded. The gunk that shot out was mix of dark brown and clear.

Of course because I had no idea what just happened and because I'm an idiot, I showered and the blood eventually stopped and I'd used chat GPT to get a rough opinion on what it was.

Going off the same description, it said it could be a staph infected follicle that grew. It even called it 'boba the blister' which I found hilarious.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures or videos but if needed I could post an 'after' photo later on after work.

Anyone know if I should get this checked by a doc?
