NCERT exercise Questions

Is solving and writing NCERT Books Exercise questions worth it from Mains perspective? Or is it a time waste, I am planning to do that after my second reading.

PS : I am a beginner, started preparing with Maths Optional in June, will be preparing with along with full time job. So 2026 is a soft attempt and 2027 is the main attempt. And these are the only two attempts I have.

So fellow aspirants, please help me as in my case time is of the essence
