Has anyone removed and replaced drills years after completing a DP?

I finished a DP years ago, but I haven't been happy with some drills and I want to replace them. I'm not sure how the glue will hold up after removing the drills.

I have DP glue to apply, if needed, but I know I'll get it on the drills that remain.

Has anyone done this? I would love your thoughts.
