Texas @ Florida: The Third Annual r/LonghornNation Away Game Meetup (Informational Session Edition)

Hey y'all.

Last year, Texas went on the road to Ann Arbor and beat the defending champion Michigan Wolverines in what would eventually become a successful first season in the SEC. This year, Manning and co head to Gainesville with the intent of proving that “the swamp is a place where only Gators Longhorns get out alive”.

Last year, the subreddit hosted our second ever away game meetup in Detroit the night before the game since we were cursed (or blessed… however you want to look at it) with Big Noon Kickoff, as taking this community and promoting some face to face interactions has worked out more often than not with the yearly tailgates being a prime example.

With that being said, three is the magic number, and best believe we’re running it back again.

Since the SEC was nice enough to let us know that we’ll be playing in the late afternoon or evening time slot, we plan on starting the meetup Saturday morning at some location close-ish to the UF campus and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. For those of y’all that attended our first meetup in Tuscaloosa, think along the lines of that. But, we need y’all to let us know if you plan on attending so we can adequately prepare and pick a venue that would work best for all of us. There’s no rush to complete this, but the earlier y’all fill it out, the easier it’ll be for me to plan this out with some help from gordogg.

#If you plan on attending the away game meetup, please fill out the Google form here!

We look forward to seeing y’all in Gainesville whether it be at the meetup or at the game!

Info for the subreddit's annual tailgate (vs Arkansas this year) will be posted at a later date.

Hook ‘Em, forever and always! 🤘
