Season 3 reminds me of the riot season of OITNB

There were so many opportunities where everything could have worked out so well - but somehow they just kept descending deeper and deeper into disaster. For me, it’s almost like you can feel the writer’s hand just pushing them down and guaranteeing that they are not going to get a good outcome, no matter what they do.

It also reminds me a little of The Matrix Revolutions. Everyone was like, “There’s no way the little guy can triumph in this David-and-Goliath story.” So the writers basically just said “Yeah, you’re right, let’s just kill everybody.”

It doesn’t have to end that way. The “David” can win if you are good enough at storytelling (e.g. Return of the Jedi).
