Would getting the series 65 be worth it in my current role (Operations @ Big RIA)?
Hello Everyone. l've been in Op's at a big RIA since graduating. Been here for 2 years. I've enjoyed my role and excel at it, but I feel a bit stagnant and not progressing like l'd want. I've been thinking about where I see myself in a few years (I really don't know where I want to go), but thought getting some certs would open my eyes a bit and maybe point me in a direction. I'm tired of asking my boss/manager for things to learn, so I would like to take it into my own hands.
Would the series 65 be a good start? I had thought about SlE exam.. but I studied finance and it's all pretty high level info. I had thought a few years back in college that I would want to be an advisor. I would pay out of pocket to get the 65 exam prep + test. They most likely won't sponsor me.
I know I could job hop, but I don't know where I want to go or do, hoping certs could open my eyes + possibly boost my earning potential? Maybe I'm not thinking correctly.
Any advice?
