Thyroid gland goiter/tumor

I have had my thyroid treated with radioactive iodine like 30 years ago. It is mutated, but has not had any issues physically since. I’ve had multiple ultrasounds confirming its stability. Recently I have noticed that it may be swollen and I have a sore throat. I find it hard to swallow on the right side. I was recently sick and am not sure if it is residual from my virus (still swollen lymph node) or if something is growing. I have an appointment with my NP in 2 weeks. My question is, if you’ve had a tumor or goiter on your thyroid, what have been your symptoms, what should I look for?
