Itinerary advice

Hi,

We're planning (a bit of a last minute) trip to Glacier first week of August. We're a family of five, 3 older kids including one with autism (who loves to hike). We're staying in Whitefish.

A friend has made a couple recommendations, so at least one day we're going to try the St. Mary's boat ride which I think means we get into the park that day. (My son sometimes is okay with boats, but sometimes doesn't, so we'll see)

My friend recommended on another day we check out Many Glacier hotel and maybe eat there (although not looking for formal dining with our kids). But I'm confused about getting to Many Glacier Hotel with the construction. Is the only way a shuttle from St. Mary's entrance? Basically, any tips on how to construct a day that includes a visit to the hotel when staying in Whitefish would be great.

My friend mentioned Trail of Cedars and Lunch Creek. We probably have four days in the park. Might have my wife to do rafting with our other two kids while I hike with my son nearby (if there are hikes near the rafting sites?). My youngest Any other suggestions welcome.
