23 year old Male. Colonoscopy and Endoscopy results.
23 year old Male here. Not too long ago I had to do a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy after experiencing various symptoms including mild rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, acid reflux, dysphagia, diarrhea, etc.
Here are my results:
For my colonoscopy, they found an inflamed Polyp in the transverse Colon that was the source of the bleeding. Everything else was labeled as looking normal.
My findings were listed as -
A. Terminal Ileum, Biopsy: Benign ileal mucosa with no significant histopathologic findings present.
B. Whole Colon, Diarrhea, Biopsy: Benign colonic mucosa with no significant histopathology.
C. Transverse Colon, Polyp, Polypectomy: Inflammatory mucosal polyp with surface acutely inflamed granulation tissue. Negative for adenoma.
For my endoscopy, they found Grade A Esophagitis and gastropathy with signs of gastritis.
My findings were listed as -
A. Stomach Antrum~stomach Body, Biopsy: Mild reactive gastropathy with focal congestion. Negative for significant Inflammatory component or evidence of Helicobacter pylori on H&E Stain.
B. Proximal Esophagus, Biopsy: Benign non-ulcerated squamous mucosa with focal minimal non-specific inflammation, otherwise no significant histopathology. Negative for eosinophilic esophagitis.
…
Since then I haven’t had a follow up and it’s been months. I’d say my results are better than expected, but I’m still unsure of what could be causing the symptoms and findings present. I’ve also recently developed peripheral neuropathy throughout my body, and I’ve been diagnosed with mild Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and I have high cholesterol. So I definitely need to figure out what’s going on.
Let me know your thoughts and I wish luck to all of you struggling.
