3rd party ink

Hi all, I bought a Canon TR150 and it ran well, but as the ink went dry I bought some 3rd party ink from Cartridge people, it worked until I powered the printer off and the nest time I powered it on it flashed with the warning that my ink is not supported, is there a way to get around this or do I have to suck it.
