How did you figure out what hobbies you actually enjoy (esp if you're neurodivergent/perfectionist)?
I’ve spent the last couple of years working non-stop - building a business, surviving burnout, and basically not doing much for fun.
Now that I’ve got a bit more time and headspace, I want to try new hobbies… but I honestly have no clue where to start.
Also, I’m neurodivergent (autistic + ADHD) and really not into meeting new people or joining groups, so a lot of “just go to a class!” advice doesn’t work for me.
Plus I have this whole perfectionist streak where I want to be really good at something… and if I’m not instantly good, I spiral into “what’s the point?” or just give up. Which I know is kind of the opposite of how hobbies are supposed to work 😅
So if you’ve been in a similar spot and managed to find hobbies you love:
What helped you figure it out?
How did you get past the “I suck at this so I quit” feeling?
Any hobbies you’ve stuck with even if you weren’t great at first?
Bonus points if they're introvert/not super taxing energy wise!
Would love to hear your experiences 💛
