Accidentally triggered a students traumatic memory.

I'm 23F and a figure skating coach i was born and raised din Latvia and moved to the stages to coach.

Since Latvian is my native language I do occasionally accidentally slip back to Latvian.

I have this one skater who is particularly quiet. One day she asked me what languages I know the list was extremely long since I knew alot of people from all pger the world. So I asked her the same she said she spoke Greek Latvian and English. I founs it intresting that she spoke latvian but before i could tell her it was my native language she told me she never speaks latvian anymore as it brings up bad and traumatic memories. So I didn't tell her I'm from Latvia.

They other day in our lesson I accidentally slipped into Latvian and she froze she just quickly skated away without a word and walked out the iceirnk.

I felt really bad about it and i hafe a lesson with her on Saturday and I don't know what to do
