Is this comic good? (sry idk if im supposed to use a flair for a question)

My friend recommended me a comic called ''Crossed'', but my brother said ''It's def not a safe series for a high school girl'' Idk what my gender has to do with it but like at the same time I don't search up any info about anything I'm recommend because that kinda defeats the purpose yk.
