Anyone else feel like Telegram's reporting system is broken? Just got a ban from a likely false report

App

Wanted to start a discussion here about Telegram's moderation system, because I just ran into a pretty big flaw.

I got hit with a temporary "spam" restriction today, but I'm 99% sure it's because I had a simple disagreement with someone in a group chat, and they decided to get petty and spam the report button on me. It happened right after our conversation. Now I'm locked out from messaging anyone who isn't already a contact.

It really makes you think about how easily a system like this can be weaponized in an app that millions of us use. It feels like a huge design flaw if one person can just get you restricted out of spite, with what seems like zero human oversight before the ban kicks in.

I already went through the motions with their automated u/SpamBot, but that feels like talking to a wall.

I'm curious if anyone else has run into this issue on Telegram, or even other messaging apps? Is this just a known, unavoidable problem with apps that rely on user reporting? Would love to hear some other experiences or thoughts on this.
