I just got this text (646 number) from a Christian from Eurazeo Company. They did not try to entice me this time by saying “$300-$600/day and you only work 30-60 minutes a day.” This seemed legitimate, up until I searched for the company’s presence on Indeed and nothing came up- I think that’s a pretty big red flag. Moreover, Indeed itself says, “Employers should contact you through Indeed- We don’t share your contact details with employers.”

This is a warning and maybe an assistance to some so they don’t have to look this information up themselves. What stuck out to me is that they don’t tempt me with anything besides an interview, and the hourly pay is actually not THAT crazy (though appealing) for an experienced translator/interpreter. Scams that I was getting before had all sorts of ludicrous salaries and little-to-no hours. It seems they’re targeting people now based off of their job searches and getting smarter about sending these scam texts, using legitimate companies and tuning down the persuasive language. The fact I actually am searching for translation jobs means some employers on indeed are not legitimate, and are using the information you applied TO, to make you more enticed to reach out. Very sneaky. Stay aware!
