First Build, Any Advice? Want to game at 1440p max settings and be a bit overkill

Any advice? Trying to put together a solid first build that will out perform my current setup by a mile. I want to have something thats a bit overkill so that it will age well and wont get outdated anytime soon. Any advice would be appreciated, given i have no idea what i am doing.
