When will Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut lose its value?
I am interested in playing Yakuza 0 on my Switch 2, but I can’t really justify spending $50 for an 8-year-old game that is $20 on other platforms and $5-10 when it’s on sale. I tend not to buy SEGA games at launch after learning they always get discounted a few months after launch (or even sooner if the game releases in Q4 due to holiday sales) as I regret buying both Sonic Frontiers and Superstars at launch.
There are no deals on Amazon Prime Day, which I get because the game is only a month old, but since 3rd Party games aren’t selling too well on the Switch 2 I feel like I should wait for it to drop in price. The game is also still being sold for quite a lot second-hand so I’d rather not buy it used for the time being.
What is the best course of action here, and why does SEGA keep getting away with selling games at a normal to high MSRP only for them to frequently go on sale after launch?
