Nicknames

My SO calls me and his 8yo daughter the same things, like babygirl, my beautiful lady, love of my life, my love, mamas, chiquita, babe, baby, etc

The only things that are specific for me are the "adult" ones that he reserves for after dark, if you get what I mean

She has expressed annoyance at this because "we dont know who you're talking to" and her solution to this was that he should just call me by my name and keep the nicknames for her (which he told her he would, but then did not)

Idk, but I don't entirely love it either, something to do with it being less special (because he also calls other women mamas and babygirl sometimes), or the fact that it puts us in the same "category" for lack of a better word, which we are not (I just feel like its a different thing, not better or more, just different).

I also feel like this is just rooted in a different/deeper issue of which I'm yet to be aware.
