Alienware AW2725DM or LG 27GP850-B?

I've been monitor hunting for a while now, and originally I found the LG and felt like it was a worthwhile upgrade over my current monitor (Acer XV240Y), but after some research, most people say there are other monitors that do more like the AW2724DM. I believe I've narrowed down my options to the 2 monitors on the title due to 2 factors:

-AW2724DM on Amazon CA is currently $480 CAD. I'm aware this model is better than the current one, but unless it's THAT much better, it's not worth paying $195 more imo.

-My next best options are Samsung G lines within the same price range, but I've heard mixed reviews about them as a whole.

Right now, the LG is $416 CAD while the Alienware is $285 CAD.

The Alienware feels like a great deal, but which is the better monitor here? Keep in mind, I'd ideally like to keep this as an upgrade of the Acer, so 27 inches, 165Hz+, and 1440p IPS are my wants. If there are better monitors you recommend, let me know! My budget is around the LG price.
