Lab dry skin / allergy

My chocolate, Miller, has an allergy to some kind of grass but obviously loves being outside and rolling in everything. His back get scabby and flaky which turns into a yeast infection. Vet gave us medicated shampoo, leave in conditioner, fish oil tablets, and itch medicine but I’m wondering there’s a better fix than shampoo and Benadryl.
