Like, how do you play against predator strain

DISCUSSION

I'll start by admitting I'm more of a bot diver than a bug diver, even tho I usually focus on the mo so I play against all factions. I'll also add that I'm level 110 so I'm not a new player, even if I'm not a veteran (and I'm aware of it). I usually easily clear d10 missions on all fronts with a squad, and even did a few successful solo d10 on bots.

But I tried to join the fight on Veld today and holy shit what a fucking nightmare that was. On the 10 missions I joined, we failed 5 of them and on the 5 others we won, 4 of them we were out of reinforcements and didn't fully extract (or didn't at all).

The planet on itself is already difficult because of the environment and the modifiers but the predator strain only gets it worse.

They are fast (way faster than you) they deal a hell lot of damage (often two to three shot you), hit extremely fast on top of it so sometimes you don't even have the time to stim, especially if they are multiple of them on you, can ragdoll you with their tongue + hit you at distance. You can't play stealthily because they spot you easier than the average terminid, you can't fight them head on because they are often too numberous and drag the whole horde on you, you can't run away from them because they are faster and will hunt you down until you die..

Which leads to the point, what do you do against them ? I've tried plenty of loadouts already but none seems to be really working. Even the good old trick of running away when there is a bug breach and come back later when they despawn doesn't work because they outrun you (even with a jetpack and light armor, I tried)

I'm all hears to your tips and tricks, but I'm seriously considering playing on a way lower difficulty, or just going on a planet where they aren't but I really dislike the general idea of "don't play it if you don't like it". I like being useful to the war effort and also experience everything a game has to offer, and I don't like the idea of being restrained of something because it is poorly balanced / way more difficult than the rest of the game.
