What should i do?

Hi everyone Im currently renting and when i did my bed i saw what i believed was a bedbug I immediately notified my leasing office and they sent over pest control, i was also told i would pay for this. I called to be updated on what they found and they tell ne the pest control guy says he didnt see any bedbugs but they want ne to set out traps. Now heres the thing we do have carpet and our mattress is in a protecter. Ik i saw a bedbug i dealt with a really bad infestation when i was younger where i threw out my mattress and stuff animals. I was hoping theyd still try some kind of treatment cause i would rather have to pay for a treatment to pit my mind to ease, especially if theyre still in the early stages of an infestion. What can i do? Is there anything i can even do other then set the traps? Would i still have to pay? Any help is appreciated.
