Need some help upgrading my budget pc

I’m trying to play all the borderlands games and lightly modded Minecraft, and find that I have to lower my settings a lot. I would love to get more performance out of my pc without spending over 150$

Here’s the specs 16 gb ram Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz Nvidia GeForce GT 710 (2gb) 238 gb ssd

Windows 10 pro

So I want to switch my graphics card, I think either a rx 580 or a gtx 1060 and was wondering which would work better on a budget

I would also like to replace my ssd any recommendations, I heard a nvme drive could help but I know nothing about them.

Any other part recommendations would help.
