How to permanenttly ignore 1 particular update??

I've tried to search for how to do this, but there's been no help, but AI is really trying ffs.

I have an HP dock that bricks each time this update is tried... I have gone through 4 docks (thanks work), and any update to the dock bricks it with the rapid flash of the power button. No reseting, no power cycle.... etc.

I don't know the exact package name, or how to completely disable the driver update check. HALP
