Thank you Vytnis for finishing that battle, that was genuinely the most entertaining one I’ve played so far!

I won the opening coinflip and decided to go first, as is usually the best option with my Tsareena deck, to try and get Pidgeot/Tsareena out ASAP. When my turn started, I noticed they were using an Ethan’s Typhlosion / Dragapult deck. This deck is hard for me to beat with the main playstyle of my deck.

Lucky for me however, despite having a bad start, in turn 3 I managed to put a Team Rocket’s Arbok with Devolution tool into the active and basically disabled them from evolving back into their stage 1 Pokémon. By the end of their 7th turn, they finally got a hold of a rare candy to evolve their active into Typhlosion and take out my single Arbok, reactivating their ability to evolve from hand. (0-1 for them)

Lucky for me, by that time I had set up Tsareena and Pidgeot, so I Iono’d all their other Evo Pokémon back into their deck and started taking out their Pokémon. By the end of my 10th turn, I had managed to take out all but 1 Drakloak and had the score up to 4-1 in my favor, effectively having taken out all their main attackers from the Typhlosion line.

Here they managed to evolve that Drakloak into Dragapult and use a TM Devolution during their own 10th turn, killing my active Tsareena (which also used my 1-off Steenee) in the process, while I had no remaining rare candies at this point. I still had a Lively Stadium to play the next turn to at least slow them down by preventing Dragapult from one-shotting my benched Pokémon. Slowly but surely they climbed back up to 4-4 in prize cards.

Finally, over turns 12-14 I somehow managed to deal exactly 320 damage to that Dragapult. That damage consisted of 100 damage using Adrena Brain with my 2 Munki’s, 30 damage with Bounsweet’s Quick Blow, 40 damage from the Vengeful Punch tool attached to Bounsweet when it was knocked out, 120 damage from using Munki’s Mind Bend attack twice and 30 damage from the trying to kill said Munki while confused.

That was so much fun! Effectively had to use the back up to my backup plan to beat their backup plan. Doubt anybody read all the way up to here, but if you did, thanks for reading 😬

My most entertaining battle so far!
