[CHAT] Grid everything in advance or as you go?

I am going to start a massive 250K stitch project and I've got my sulky silver thread to grid with. But gridding the entire project at once is daunting. The finished project will be big. Do you always grid the whole thing - or do you grid as you go - e.g. page by page perhaps? Is that a mistake?
