Toddler has hard time transitioning from pre-school to home. Anybody relate and have strategies?

Question

My 3 yo is in preschool from 830-330 everyday. It’s a great place and we all love it, including my 3 yo. Only negative is that he never wants to come home anymore 😂😭he will say “don’t want to go home…” when I get him. Today he said “want to go to target…” it’s like anything except home is good. He only warms up to the idea of going home if I say we will have a snack and some tv when we get there, which I feel like a bad or lazy parent using that strategy. We do stuff some days after I get him, like go to target, get ice cream or shaved ice, go to the grocery store, etc. but it’s not like I can take him for ice cream every single day after I get him lol. At least that’s not the kind of example I want to set.

Can anybody relate to this difficult transition and do you have a routine or strategy to make it “easier?” I wish there was a place we could go everyday, like a kids cafe or bookstore and that would be our “thing.” I’m worried if we did that “thing” everyday even that would get old or boring for him.

Help? Haha thanks!
